The above scent marketing trends should play a role in the design style for any given project. Kathi incorporates the sense of smell wherever needed in her design assignment whether in a home staging with the sweet aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or a retail establishment's citrus scent flowing throughout the store. Home is where the heart is. So make your home an inviting place. Decorate for the various seasons to give a change of scenery and to help set the mood. Set out seasonal snacks, light a candle or set out a scent to help trigger the seasonal memory. Play seasonal music or have a waterfall running in the background. Have something set out that everyone can easily touch that is soft or plush, something that reminds them of the season like a fresh new plant for spring, a seashell for summer, pumpkins for fall and a warm furry blanket for winter a just a few ideas.
